Gallstones
Gallstones are hard particles that develop in the gallbladder - a small, pear-shaped organ located in the upper right abdomen.
Gallstones can range in size from a grain of sand to a large golf ball size gallstone.

Complications
Acute Cholecystitis : Inflammation of the gallbladder. ​​
Acute Cholangitis / Obstructive Jaundice :
Blockage of the common bile duct. Gallstones can block the tubes (ducts) through which bile flows from your gallbladder or liver to your small intestine.

Pancreatitis :
A gallstone can cause a blockage in the pancreatic duct, which can lead to inflammation of the pancreas.
